Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

i remember of an old saying:

if the cops have to chase after you. they're bringing and azz whooping once they catch ya. moral of the story, don't run and don't treat them like dirt

I don't hate LEO....I hate people who abuse their "Power" over people based solely on a job position.

Cops are there to protect the "Interests" of the area....not the citizens. So why would we be suprised by LEO acting in such a manor? It has been documented that LEO have no obligation to protect you in a time of need....SO WHY DO WE NEED SO MANY OF THEM????????

They are protecting the "public's" interest. Now go look up "public" in a law dictionary.

public
1) n. the people of the nation, state, county, district or municipality which the government serves. 2) adj. referring to any agency, interest, property, or activity which is under the authority of the government or which belongs to the people. This distinguishes public from private interests as with public and private schools, public and private utilities, public and private hospitals, public and private lands and public and private roads

PUBLIC. By the term the public, is meant the whole body politic, or all the citizens of the state; sometimes it signifies the inhabitants of a particular place; as, the New York public.

I love the term "Public Defender". Most people think that they are the public. Sorry. They are assigned to protect the public FROM you.

The Corpus juris Secundum teaches that EVERY lawyers duty is to protect the State first, and their client second.

I went with the definition from an 1856 law book. Most of these laws pre-date that though.

I'm Calling BS. 40 years ago, may be. Not now all the officers I work with would stop a situation fast.

Ken Ford, I would hope so. However I have been shown the "other side" by my ex-son-in-law. Told me once that other cops were his ONLY friends, I was not included in his idea of friends. I always did, and still do, think of him as a good cop, misguided, but good.
