The only "dirt" my bike ever has on it is dead bugs. It lives inside so it never gets really dirty. It was wasted with bugs, they just didn't show up well of video.

I keep water away from my bike most of the time.

I have but try to avoid it if at all possible.
Supersports are no fun in the rain.

I don't like the idea either, too easy to scratch the **** out of the finish and especially the windshield which are usually very soft . Only use water on mine, each his own

Been doing it for over 15 years and never scratched a bike yet.

My windshield isn't exactly for looking through though.

Been using Pledge to do detail cleaning of my bikes between washes since 1978. It truly was the first detailing spray.

Windshield, chrome, paint. Won't hurt a thing. I use Lucas detail spray on the paint and chrome now, but I still use Pledge on the windshield. It makes it easier to clean or wipe down the next time.

As far as riding in the rain, no big deal. After the rain stops, the bike gets a blow dry at 65 to 70 mph.
