We all you cry babies about the heat.

Yesterday I was manning 3rd base. Every time I chased a ball, I could feel my heart speeding up. And it just kept getting hotter.
Today I spent @ 4hrs working in the yard. I'm in for the day now. It was 93* when I came inside. It was 77* when the sun came up

You better get that looked at. This heat ain't playin

I sent a text to captdave77 captdave77 . He has saved my bacon a few times fixing my AC at my old house, this house, and my mother in laws house. Hopefully he can get to me in the next day or two. It's now 86 degrees in the house right now.

Stay cool. At least we have an attic house fan for night and window units for day. Got those at Walmart on sale a couple years ago. Never opened the box till last summer. I put one in the bedroom at the end of the house and one in the kitchen window. Worked pretty well. Also have a big fan in the basement. I hope that gives you some ideas. It was 100* when ours went out as well

Shower or bath is a good solution if it gets too hot.
Make yourself so cold you welcome the heat. :nerd:

I've got a few fans that keep it bearable for now. I'm more worried about my dogs getting over heated.

a 13 y/o builder grade unit working in this climate couldn't cut it, replacement parts not available.
Replacing with a higher seer rated unit, maybe cut those 300-350 dollar summer power bills back a bit.
…%# Georgia Power.
Went through this before almost 4 years ago.

Bought a house, builder’s Frankentein’ed HVAC system crapped out in August (3 months after move-in). Our electric bills were high, too.

$8,500 later, better system, and electric bills were cut in half. Paid $124 for most recent bill for a 2,500 SF house.
