I have been looking for 22 WMR ammo and am seeing 23 to 25 bucks for 50. I took a look at Midway at their Armscor 22 mag info and they want 60 bucks for 50 cartridges. Now that is sodomy in it's grossest form.

Best lesson I've learned over the years is "Pay once, cry once." I've also learned that everything expensive isn't necessarily the best for function. So far, I've not been disappointed with LaRue kit, it's top notch.

During the beginning 6-9mo months of the pandemic, Midway was pretty solid and bought a lot there. Only 10-20% higher than what 'was' normal, website that actually works decently well, and stock showing up. Then they bumped pricing on everything like another 10-20%, implemented more qty restrictions, and started breaking up cases of primers and no longer selling cases. I've got a bunch of instock notifications setup in midway I no longer even bother to pay attention to. F'em.

All ammo went up 10-20% at the distributor level, so I'm not surprised Midway's did as well. Cost of components is still high across all manufacturers. Still, over $1/round for 22 mag is pretty high. Bet they aren't selling a lot at that price.

And I don't bitch about Optics Planet's prices... I bitch about them never actually shipping what I bought for that price.

If Midway says they have something in stock, and I buy it, it actually shows up at my door a few days later. Optics Planet should take a lesson from that.
