two nurses have been diagnosed with Ebola, of which there are now 800 people on a watch list by the CDC. A third worker is isolated on a cruise ship (although the chances of this one having Ebola is unlikely).

That 21 day incubation period is a MFer. I wonder if they tracked down everyone on those flights to and from Akron Ohio yet. Oh and everyone those people had contact with and everyone they had contact with and so on and so on and so on.

Ok, this is still before my first cup of joe... But IMHO, the three week clock was reset by the nurses flight to Cleveland and back. It's a scary disease because of the incubation period.
think of it another way. You never even imagine Ebola when you feel a bit down, lungs feel "full", you're coughing and sneezing, must need som 'Tussim that's all. Go to the local store, sneeze in your hand, to be safe, handle a few bottles till you find the right grape flavor you want. Handle money to the cashier, etc.
no one originally will think they have Ebola and our facilities will become overloaded quickly.
There are only something like 20 level four biocontainment beds in the country. Out pacing the ability to contain this is what will cause it to spin out of control.
