We got ‘til 1am on the HPA/SHORT Act🚨

Having a single Senate committee approve the silencer reform part of this bill is good,

but it still has to pass the full Senate.

I think that's doubtful, because many Republican senators are only moderately pro gun, and they still think of silencers the same way we think of bazookas and belt fed machine guns : unsuitable for ordinary people.

I'd contact my two Georgia senators if I thought it would do any good but considering those people are Raphael Warnock and John Osoff, I might as well just talk to a cement block wall.

Nah, in this case it may be worth it to contact them. It's not really a hot button issue for GA Democrats, they're not likely to be seeing pushback on it from their base here in GA. If they get enough messages in support for it, it's a good indicator for them that's there's no political gain in fighting it.

At the end of the day that's all these people care about. They don't really give a **** or even understand the nuances of silencers and SBR registration.

If they see more constitutions in favor than opposed, it's easy math.

Right now Dems are not fighting for gun bans/restrictions. Some actually are considering purchases because they think the country is now fascist. This is the perfect climate for HPA and SHORT to pass. They do not legalize any new items and gun restrictions are not popular with Dems right now given their opposition to Trump.

Yep, and the next thing to remove from the NFA are MGs.

:peace:

What are the chances we can get them to take out the part where they are selling the 3 million acres of public lands but keep the part where they take cans and shortys off the NFA ?
