Weapon light/laser question

I am considering getting a veridian C5L for my XD. my question is this...if I sight in the laser, then remove it from the rail and put it back on later..does it hold zero or do I need to sight in again. there are times where I will be using my IWB tuckable with this gun, but it won't fit the with laser attached.

It should hold it's zero, I have no problems with mine and it's an NC Star green laser.

My streamlight tlr2s holds zero when removed and replaced.
