I thought weatherby controlled the fuddiverse in bolt guns. Well, close call between weatherby (fudds with $) and Salvage (poor fudds). If Remington upgraded the 700, the Fudds would lose their collective minds.
Having been knighted on this site as an honorary Fudd, I believe I can speak to this. My dad's generation definitely thought the Weatherby Mark V was the business. I'd argue Browning has taken the mantle today as far as brands go. I love Winchester bolts actions and CZ crf bolt actions but they're not as available anymore. My interest in the Model 700 footprint is the huge amount of aftermarket products available. Weatherby is even going to sell these actions by themselves and the MSRP looks like a bargain potentially for those wanting to assemble a rifle.I thought weatherby controlled the fuddiverse in bolt guns. Ruger makes guns that were good 60 years ago and refuses to update anything. So the aftermarket fills a colossal void on some really basic features. Remington is doing the same.
Ha ha I do love their actions. But I've been using a Tikka mostly of late. You forgot Winchester too. CRF fudds.
Eurofudd. LolHa ha I do love their actions. But I've been using a Tikka mostly of late.
