I never wind that clock. It’s a obnoxiously loud. It’s an heirloom passed down when the first son is born. It was given to my Grandfather when my dad was born and then to me when my boy was born. Apparently if Riley doesn’t have a son it has to be buried with me lol.
 
What did you use to get the white washed effect?

I used a limewash I bought from Home Depot. Just paint it on, let it dry and then start taking back off what you want. Instructions say to use a spray bottle but I found a wet washcloth worked better. I also used crumpled up paper towels like sand paper. I get a little obsessed with things so I spent a lot of time getting the distressing the way I wanted it and “sanding” my brushstrokes off each brick with the paper towels. It’s a very forgiving product and you can continue to manipulate it for a couple weeks according to the instructions.
