I experienced that first hand this weekend. Had a bolt break off changing thermostat out in boat engine. Went and bought a cheap drill/tap kit from there. Broke the drill bit trying to drill out the old bolt. FInally got the bolt out with some decent drill bits and halfway through tapping the new hole the cheap tap broke in half in same hole

Long weekend. But got it fixed finally.

I learned a long time ago there ain’t no substitute for good tools !
Being a professional mechanic it is Snap-on , Mac or Matco …..
The home mechanic…Craftsman will work ok.

About the time I bought my first car in 1967, I went to Sears with my dad and bought pliers, a box-end and open-end wrench set, socket wrenches, a set of screw drivers, hammer and a Craftsman tool box…. still have and use those tools and they’re still carried in the same tool box….

When ya buy good tools, they’ll last a lifetime!

There's nothing better than getting paid to look out the window....

Absolutely ! I still have a good many Craftsman tools in some of my sets.
When I went to using wrenches and sockets everyday though I went to the next level….the SnapOn , Mac and Matco are just a whole level above the craftsman tools. There is a difference. Especially when you use them everyday for 10 hrs a day ! lol.
They are just the pro line of tools . There is no other like them…especially Snap On .
