welding repair on air compressor drain valve?

My small 6 gallon compressor has a bent drain valve. Someone left it open, and apparently knocked it .

It now has a small leak at the thread, and won't hold compression.

Is it safe to have it welded, or otherwise repaired?

Silver solder would be an option. Muggy welder.com should have some.

Fixed it. Turns our such drains are replaceable.
