Wendy's Manager shoots robber dead in Savannah

Seems to me the manager was trying to actively persue an armed person that was a credible threat to other person's and property. Had he not followed the guy, who did point a weapon at him outside the store. The a$$hole may have went on a crime spree. I don't think Chatham County is going call balls and strikes over some idiot who feels he can pull guns on people and get away with it.

I see this as a questionable situation but put yourself in the managers shoes. A gun was at your head, you were than robbed. The robbers run and you grab your gun to stop them. Instead the robber points a gun at you. When I read the news article i understood it as they robbed the manager. I may be wrong, but I see self defense.

I can see that but is the threat of injury to others without an actual victim enough reason to shoot someone? I thought use of deadly force is only permitted if a forceable felony is in progress, not after the threat has left. This is the part I'm trying to understand.

He followed them to get a vehicle description, number of suspects and direction of travel to relay to the police. They decided to point the gun at him. They can plead their case to Peter at the Pearly Gates, I for one don't buy it.

Exactly the question, you are robbed, you then go get your gun and pursue the robber, who turns towards you with the same gun he had a minute ago and you shoot him. Legal???

Idk like I said it's questionable. Isf the gun were pointed at me first, I would have shot as well. I feel the news report didn't give enough information on the subject.

It may not have been his money, but it was his life that got gambled on, so I have no problem with him sending a strong message, "threaten me and I'll ****ing kill you".
