Superintendent Michael Thurmond told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution just before 2 p.m.

He said a black male, aged 25, was arrested.

At least Thurmond says he doesn't know what type of rifle, but I'm surprised he said he was black. You normally only hear race mentioned on the news it they're not black.

I'm guessing it'll probably be one of those pocket .22s. That or if the guy was black (which now they saying he was) it'll probably be that "ice cream glock" that was on craigslist last week

I hope that is the case. Talk about the ultimate fail.
1) Proves 'gun free zones' don't work
2) Proves anti-gunners are whack jobs that will stop at nothing including terrozing kids
3) Proves schools are incapable of defending kids UNLESS there is an ARMED defense at the school.
4) Proves the only bill that was worth passing during the freak out was the one to fund more psychiatric help.

Once the story comes out, I hope the nut is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That said and for the time being, Georgia is still a red state. It's probably not the right time to say it, but it should be a catalyst for training and arming teachers and getting rid of gun-free zones.
