Channel 2 Action News has confirmed with multiple sources that the suspect is a white man in his 20s who was armed with an AK-47 and dressed in black. Sources say he surrendered peacefully.

Yep. I am not really surprised that most of the major news outlets aren't really reporting on this. If it bleeds, it leads.

I don't know a reporter than can visually identify a rifle from a shotgun but boy they can identify an AK47 or an AR15 while locked inside a sensory depravation chamber when the gun is 3 states away.
