I've used these to build Appleseed "Liberty Training Rifles" and have found them to be great for "loaner" rifles.
They can be adjusted to just about any child's length of pull and stature. They are light but fairly rigid and sling mounts are good for shooting with support slings.
I see too many kids struggling with the rifles dad buys them or wants them to use and they lose interest quickly when their equipment is preventing them from improving.
Give a look at PMACA. Build it out how you like as far as the stock goes and the forearm length. Accepts AR grips and stocks and they have a number of forearm options from short to medium length as well as extruded aluminum and carbon fiber.
