Hell I remember paying 89 dollars for 1000 rounds of wolf not that long ago.
What does it matter what the price on an empty shelf says? No matter how irritating it is, it's supply and demand. Capitalism at its best. Does the time spent driving from Walmart to Walmart and the cost of the gas they expend mean nothing. I wish I could spend my mornings doing that instead of going to work. I strongly suspect some of the same people moaning and groaning here, are doing it under a different name.
I guess what I am really asking is what you have paid recently, and what you would be willing to pay if you needed some ammo.
I answered a response on a post wanting .45acp, I had bought some WWB at Wal-mart for 20.99 per box + tax= 22.25 and offered it
at that price to try and help the guy out, and he told me I was trying to rape him on price.

If ammo is anything like the fire arms stock, soon enough you'll be able to get ammo at market/fair price. Just give it time. Unless Obama throws something else out there for a scare.
tell him to go f*** himself. You got it he wants it. either he can pay what you were asking for it or he can find it somewhere else.
I still think the socialists will realize they can better disarm us through ammo regulation, than firearms. Anybody can make an improvised weapon; it's a lot harder to make cartridges, powder and primers. While the Liberator project might have worked against Nazi's, I think modern technics would limit its effectiveness.
I can tell you what ain't fair: Trying to see GA Arms ammo for twice the price you paid and you claiming they don't have any and won't have any for months is NOT fair.
Just recently scored a couple of 100 round boxes of Winchester 45 at Walmart ($40.77 each + tax)
