What AMMO price is FAIR?

The only ammo I purchased recently was .357 and 5.45.

I told myself I wouldn't buy into a new caliber but she was too pretty. I paid PSA $23.99/50 + shipping for the ammo. Yep, I think I overpaid. But I also have ammo to shoot my new honey...

The 5.45 I bought from AIM and paid more for it than I ever have for that caliber. But I have a case in my basement now and can sleep well at night...and it's still cheaper than any other single center-fire rifle cartridge today.

What's fair is determined by the market. Not someone's opinion. Oh wait, that was my opinion...whatever...

sounds like what i am finding. just got home with a 500 rd case of independene, 55gr, 5.56, brass, new production ammo for $300+ tax. $321 out the door and it was available 4 miles from home instead of spending $50 worth of fuel and 5 hr drive to go to ga arms. i bought 500 rds there recently for $285+ tax. i figure with the price of diesel, it is actually cheaper to get it locally even though th price is touch higher.
