What are your thoughts on pocket carry?

I've got a couple EDC depending on how I'm dressed. My summer carry is usually my 642 in my front pocket and a speed strip in the other. Just easier to carry that way in cargo shorts. But always use a pocket holster! Keeps it upright in your pocket and covers the bang switch.

Is that holster made of material that grips the inside of your pocket?

For summer carry, my vacation gun is an S&W 442 in a FIST leather clip holster, appendix carry, with a speed strip in my right front pocket.

I pocket carry when I have a shirt tail tucked in, IE;in church. After 3 Keltecs, which turned out to be unreliable,I carry a Beretta Nano 9mm. All steel,a little heavy. Pocket holster also,to keep out lint. Nothing else in pocket. You can`t do much by drawing your Skoal. I CAN pocket carry my .40 M&Pc,but it`s a pocket full.

One of the Sticky or Remora or Nemesis holsters will work fine. You need something with friction to keep the holster in the pocket when you draw.

Just make sure it covers the safety, although personally I don't like SA guns for pocket carry, to each their own. And like others have said, even with a holster the gun should be the ONLY thing in that pocket.

I carry my weapon in Blackpoint Tactical IWB with a t-shirt and then an over shirt.

I've owned several 1911 style single-action semi-auto pistols, and I have experienced the safety coming off (moving from "safe" to "fire" position) in a holster, or when carried in a fanny pack with a gun compartment in it. I would not carry one of those style handguns in my pocket, even in a pocket holster.
I do carry DAO semi-autos and .38 snubby revolvers in my pockets. I figure that the 7-12 lb. trigger pull (and a long distance of travel on the pull, too) is all the "safety" I need.

I don't see the Kimber Micro on the list just the Kimber solo. But I defiantly could use a couple of those Tactical Drink Holders in my Jeep!!
I really love and have owned/currently own Kimber pistols but IMHO, I would avoid the Kimber Solo. I had the SOLO for a few weeks and sold it due to FTF and FTE; I shot and tested multiple types of ammunition and did not find the weapon to be reliable. The form factor of the pistol is perfect for a CCW but as much as I tried, I couldn't love it. All of this being said, I have a friend that owns a gun store and he swears by them. FWIW - If you are interested in a Kimber, I would recommend looking at the ULTRA CARRY II, nice compact form factor, very reliable, single stack .45, I have no problem concealing the weapon without printing and I would definitely depend on it!
