44 mag about any good bullet when it hits rib bone will.it kinda looks like a ballistic tip at close enough range to explode and go thru.

I shot a big Doe maybe 10yrs ago with a 54 cal smoke pole..Exit hole was the size of a bowling ball, used 295 grain Power Belt.
