What did you neglect in your preps?

Not prep, but unexpected good news,
Monday morning, the yard crew contracted by our cul-de-sac HOA (yes, we are blessed by being under the umbrellas of TWO HOAs) showed up, business as usual. The neighborhood was littered with downed limbs and covered in leaves. Didn't expect much on storm debris cleanup, but when they left it was like "what storm". Every yard looked just like any other Monday when they left, and every fallen branch, twig, leaf and moss beard was gone. Everything picked up, carted off, and leaf blown.

Several years ago I nearly found myself without enough 10w-30 for the generator. I was changing oil every 24 hours and almost ran out.

thanks, yeah I found out about those and similar only reading while it was already raining. I didn't need it but will have a version for next time for sure.

I also forgot I have a jump charger pack in my truck that does 12v and lights as needed, totally forgot it back there.

Went and topped off my fuel supply today. That's about it. I'm as ready as I can be for whatever comes next.

That's a very good point, I have some but I should probably add some more.

Better than no gas. I use fuel stabilizer in my fuel and rotate my stock especially this time of year when it's leaf blowing and mulching season.

Gotcha. Point was now that we're prepared, we won't have any problems for a while
