What GON looks like to me.....

There are some great folks on the GON board. My problem was that a small group of newcomers seemed to take over and decide what was best for everyone. Are they considering renamimg the board NIC'S PLACE?

i think the problem is that they are just WAY too uptight on everything. a good example is a couple weeks ago someone made a post about a tattoo. people kept referring to it as "tat". i merely said "could please not call it a tat, it just sounds kinda ignorant". i got multiple warnings and a threat to be banned for "inflammatory content". get lame......

I say "To heck with GON!"

I tell everyone I know who is interested in the outdoors about THE ODT!

I was looking for a better place when the ODT opened up, and I haven't been disappointed.

GON's days are numbered. They treat people poorly, their swap now sucks, and people just won't put up with that mess for long.

I was the first one to get the boot a couple of years ago when the GONe purges began. My crime?

I posted a link on Georgia Gun Trader to my GON thread. A GON member or moderator visited GGT and saw my post, then BAM. Gone forever..no warning..no nothing..didn't have a bad record...had all positive feedback no open warnings.

(And nothing of value was lost.)

Is being banned a badge of honor?

I am not banned from GON, GPDO, or any other site - but I also don't flaunt the rules. It's just not that difficult to follow the rules as it ain't my site, I'm just a visitor. Just like this place, nearly every day I see folks violating the price bashing rules - is it so tough just to say nothing and move on? Does it make you a hero to violate rules? I'm serious about this as from what I read in threads like this it seems like it...
