I like that area. You can probably go shopping at the commissary and BX if it grabs you too. Got to say, if a good sized hurricane was heading my way, I'd be hitting the road until it passed through though.

Hurricanes suck down there. We got caught in Georges in 98 and it destroyed our apt. We moved in 01 back to GA and Katrina hit in 05, and destroyed the entire coast. I didn’t recognize anything from pictures. It was all flat.
The coast is wonderful during "good" weather. But it's not a matter of if, but when a storm is coming. If I had a place on the coast I'd still have to have another place to retreat to inland. Just is. Ain't nothin cheap about living on the coast
