i once grabbed a ar15 barrel after firing 40-60 rounds through it in semi-auto and i nearly dropped that gun it was so hot. it took at least 30 minutes to get that barrel cooled down at the end of my shooting session of 90+ rounds

I use to have a Powder Springs Mac years ago with a suppressor and Nomex cover. After about 3 mags on full auto it was hot but you could still hold it, you could feel the heat thru the cover. I figured about six mags would set it on fire. I really miss that Mac, wire stock, suppressor, cover, but damn did it burn up the ammo

This reminds me of a guy who decided to take out and grab an M4 BCG after being shot full auto. I think he reloaded about 3 times too before doing so.
