Has anyone noticed that it has become like FB marketplace? People send a PM make an offer and then never respond back or will never set up a meet. Over the last year I have either been stood up, cancelled at last minute, or just never set a meeting. I haven’t had this trouble until the last year or so. Also items sit for far longer now. Do y’all think that the No interest pay in 4 stuff has hurt private sales?

Nope, never heard of such a thing. You day drinking?

WTF is “4 stuff” ??
Pay in 4. Several sites offer pay over time. Pay in 4 it divides the cost into 4 payments without interest. PSA uses it among others. Basically you buy a $400 after tax item pay $100 today and spread the payments over a couple months but you get the item shipped now. Maybe only I have noticed it but I have seen some pretty decently priced firearms sit on here and constantly being reduced. I just don’t remember seeing items sit this long in the past. I mean smoking deals don’t last but others do.

I have always had good success on this site. My word is important to me. If I make a deal it is a deal. If someone offers a better deal after the fact I turn it down and stick to the original deal that I made. I have had people text me the day before our meet and tell me that they sold the item because they got a better offer. I get it but dang it is frustrating. Maybe it’s just me…..

Complains about quality of classifieds users, can't spell "sales" and can't form a complete thought.

Sell is a verb sale is a noun. The action of selling. I sell firearms online. Sale as a noun I went to a sale. So sells can be correct in the sense of it being a verb. So could it be sales? Sure. Does it matter? No. The point is the point. I asked a question. You didn’t need to pop in with your idiocy.

You’re a douche. Sale=noun sell=verb. Point was taken by the original post. I asked a question. No one asked for your idiocy. No one needs keyboard cowboys that don’t have the balls to say it face to face.

It's basic economics. A lot of firearms were bought over the past couple of decades out of fear of the coming ban. A lot of newbies bought firearms over the past few years when they were concerned about civil unrest or protection, and are now loosing interest in them. The economy isn't doing quite as well as it was in 20-21, and those people who have lost interest are getting rid of their guns. Lots of boomers are reducing their collections.

Over all the market is flooded with guns and fewer people are getting interested in them. More supply + fewer buyers means that prices go down.

I'm not sure the prices will ever go back up. The panics of the past years added a *lot* of guns to the market. Something like 500 million guns in the US (estimated) with a population of 330 million.
