What is 223/5.56 brass worth?

If it is once fired I would give you are looking at about 6.50-7.00 per hundred. If you want to sell it I might be interested. That is all that I would pay for it. If it is cleaned and inspected maybe a little more. If it is sorted by headstamp then a little more still.

a 5 gallon bucket of mixed headstamps is worth about 100 bucks IF its all reloadable.

Now that price is based on a bucket weighing 45 pounds and having roughly 2500 to 3000 pieces of brass in it.

That price of 100 bucks a bucket is more than what a scrap yard will pay, but less than paying for a sorted amount.

If you were to sort by headstamps then you could get more for it. Commercial without a crimped primer commands a higher price than mil with a crimped in primer but crimped primers are easy enough to deal with, just means an extry step in the process unless you have a 1050.
