favorite for me to use: S&W Model 66, six-inch, stainless steel, with rubber finger-groove grips.

favorite for use in training new shooters, and as a home-defense or car-carry or "truck gun" : Rossi stainless steel version of the Smith 686, with a heavy 2.5" barrel and factory compensator that brings total barrel length to 3". It's also got finger-groove rubber grips.
