It's like an old mans underwear..................depends!
For trout, reds, and flounder I like my Daiwa sol 2000's-2500's on a Loomis 8-17# 7' rod for jigs, corks and light top water. For tossing plugs- custom built 8-20 7.5' Chaos with Revo inshores on them. Time would be early morning.
Tarpon- Shimano Teramar 8' 15-40# with a Abu Garcia Soron STX 60 on it.
Bottom fishing- Daiwa Saltist on a 7' custom built 20-50#
For tossing pilchards and light livebait a 7.5' custom built on a Rainshadow blank with a 2000 Sol on it.
