What kind of berries/tree is this

Wild cherry. One way to check if you see one without leaves or berries is to scratch the bark off a stem. It will smell of almond extract or cyanide.

Thats interesting. I have cut a few this spring at the farm , didnt spray stumps as I read that deer will browse new growth. I will try the scratch and sniff test. If that fails I will have my buddy eat a few berries and seed , will report back….

plant id says black cherry tree buddy!

If the birds go to liking the berries I really hope they go to the neighbors houses to light in trees---over there cars and not mine-LOL

Some claim that only the unripe cherries green & red contain cyanide in levels to be dangerous. Ripe black cherries are safe to eat. Never tested this be eating unripe cherries. Never eaten wild mushrooms since an expert poisoned himself. Lawyer disclaimer statement to follow. LOL
