What was your worst buy? The one that just didn't live up to the MFR hype?

I once had a very knowledgeable Gun Store salesmen show me how a woman should rack a slide on a semi-automatic pistol. Most people hold the gun frame in one hand and use the other to push the side back. This is usually done with both arms bent and the torque arm power to move the slide sideways needs to be high...it's harder on the muscles.

What he did was to demonstrate that my wife should use her left hand to grip the slide and fix it at arms length and use the right hand (on the pistol butt) to push the frame forward. All the power required is linear straight forward and the left hand only grips the slide. It's difficult to describe in words but if you see it, you'll know it's the easiest way for someone with not so much strength.... Hope this helps.

*Taurus model 608 357mag bought new in 1996. Cylinder lock up was sloppy and quality was subpar. Sent it back to Taurus then sold it when I got it back.
*Taurus pt111 45acp. Sold it after one range trip, it was that bad. Got it cheap and sold it cheap.
*Sig p320. I’ve had five total four compacts and one full size. I want to like them just don’t. I don’t even look at adds for them anymore. Figured after five what’s the point.

My Dobbs Defense arc 22. I bought into the ODT hype and wanted to support someone locally. I can't get it not to keyhole on 90% of my .22s and accuracy is pretty poor. Its also loud as hell. A lot of guys had good luck just not mine. Brian has restarted communicating but has been without a shop for 3ish years.

When the experienced NFAers say stick to mainstream manufacturers, stick to mainstream manufacturers.
