What would you do?

take pictures or video. call the cops.
dont draw on them or attempt to arrest/detain. worst case they jump you and beat you to death or within an inch of your life and you spend your life barely more than a vegetable from the TBI you recieved when they beat your skull in. whats the best case here? they all lay down with their hands up? not going to happen.
there is nothing in those cars worth the hassle and the world of **** you will be in if the media decides to george zimmerman you. Your life as you know it will be over and you will be hundreds of thousands in debt for legal fees just to prove that he attacked and you were justified when you shot. They will paint you as a vigilante wannabe and your name will be mudd.
you dont need that kind of headache over a laptop or an iphone.

While deadly force may not be constituted, you have a constitutional right to protect your property. Even if it's someone else's property, if you have the means to, you can detain them until the police arrive.

Safety needs to be paramount though. We get paid to put our lives and safety in jeopardy. Evaluate whether or not yours or someone else's property is worth life or limb.

Either call the police and observe or just set your car alarm off. They should scatter ,but not sure that would help them get caught...

Observe and report if it's other people's cars. Call out from a safe location and let them know the police are on the way if it's your car.

Get a handful of zip ties and commence to makin citizen arrests.

The state of Georgia allows people to make citizen’s arrests. To make a citizen’s arrest, a person must witness a crime being committed and detain the suspect until police reach the scene.
