I have a CVA Apex Muzzleloader. The Apex also had interchangeable barrels, so I also have a .270 barrel for it. Yesterday I pulled it out of the safe for the first time since last season and the stock was really sticky. I know I didn't put it away like this, but I'm reading this is a pretty common issue with this type of stock. Anyway, I emailed Bergara, and surprisingly I had a reply before I had morning coffee. Kudos to them for CS. They told me they don't have any stocks for the Apex anymore, BUT, they would replace the gun with either another rifle (an Accura) or another muzzleloader ( a Scout V2) in the same caliber. Or, I could use paint stripper to take the rubbery finish off the stock and keep them both. I don't use the rifle anymore since I use my Browning, and I could sail the rifle barrel and scope. I actually have another CVA Muzzleloader that I can use, so I think that if I replace, either one or the other will go on here to sail. What is the ODT panel opinion on this major dilemma in my life?

I actually like the extra week and have done well with it. One season the muzzleloader was the only rifle I used
I always went BP hunting. Always got one too. I'm not really a fan of CVA, but this one seems like it's one of the better ones. The old ones were good
