A Glock 26 was my first gun ever 15 years ago. To this day, the 26 is still one of my favorite, most trusted sub compacts. Love the reliability, customer service, aftermarket parts support, and maybe the autism part too. I've learned to love the Glock trigger over the years too, as ok as it may be

I'm too invested in magazines and holsters to change at this point.

Over thousands of rounds and three decades of shooting Glocks I've only seen three real failures. A friend of my ex worked on printing presses and had a great plan to thoroughly degrees his gen 1 model 17 with his chemical. Locked that sucker up tight. I lubed up my model 20 paying special attention to the firing pin channel LOL the last example was an overloaded or defective brass case from a local "ammo remanufacturing business" the pistol was repairable but the owner of the reloading company sent me over to Glock Incorporated and they gave me a new pistol

I didn't like them for years due to the grip/fringer grooves, until I used a Glock 45. It felt good, I shot it very well, and a couple of years later, I have a couple. All Gen 5, as I still just don't like nor handle the previous gens good. I still like my Smitties, my Sig, and Caniks; however, when the nukes drop, I have to be honest about which one is coming with me.

Just think of all them clips/sticks I'll be able to pick up that have been left behind. 😂
What if they be melted??......

I'm not a fan of plastic. That said, I can't find any real complaints with a Glock. Never seen one fail. But in extreme conditions if I have a choice, I'd pic a steel gun. I still want to try a full blown competition model. I don't care for them in concealed carry. Too big and sharp edges to print
