What's going on the smoker/grill today?

Ain’t a butt.
Packer Brisket
Moo not oink

13 hours on the pit.
1-2 in the cooler to rest
Oh, I thought "packer" just meant is was going fill up the smoker. Interesting. I'll have to google that...never heard of a "packer brisket."

17lbs and only 13 hours on the smoker? Also, interesting. I learn something new everyday.

OK, so I googled it and this what I found: "A Packers brisket is a whole brisket that includes both the flat and the point. The flat is a leaner section, ideal for slicing, while the point is fattier and perfect for shredding or making burnt ends. This combination provides a versatile cut that caters to different cooking techniques and preferences. The minimal trimming means you get the full, unaltered brisket, offering the best of both worlds in one impressive piece of meat."

Forgive my ignorance as I've only done a few briskets but doesn't that just mean the "whole brisket?"
