What's going on the smoker/grill today?

OK, I'm not bagging on you on your food, I'm just curious. I only recently learned about these. Shotgun shells I think they are called? Do people really eat these? I get an involuntary gag reflex just thinking about them. Anybody out there like them? I mean, obviously Timber Cruiser Timber Cruiser 'cause he posted them. Just curious if I'm alone.

You’re correct. Shotgun shells. Italian sausage, ground beef and cheddar stuffed into pasta shells and wrapped in bacon. Fridge overnight, BBQ sauce and dust. Smoke at 225 for 30 minutes or so. Delicious.

So the pasta shells...they're being hydrated and cooked by the oil and fat coming out of the meat a cheese? Or are you boiling them beforehand?
