What's she worth? What a find!

Tommy, the dash number makes all the difference in value on Smiths. Yours is a -5. It is the first change to not include a pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. In value terms, it takes a bit hit because it is not pinned and recessed. Most big money collectors only want P&R models.

The presentation case is most likely not original to the gun because the only K framnes that were put into a presentation case were obvious commemorative guns...ie the Texas Ranger Model 19-4.



It is a nice piece, but IMO not a collector. Just a super nice user, or BBQ gun!


That being said, IMO, the gun by itself could bring $700-750 and the presentation case could bring $100-125 by itself. + or - of course.

Thank you for the information Leatherhead. I was hypnotized looking at it and had to buy it! Maybe in 10 years it will be worth something.
