whats the best deal youve ever gotten buying a gun?

About 10 years ago, I bought a Remington 1903-A3 and a Winchester Model 1897 for $250. The guy was a friend of my neighbor's and didn't want his son to be around the guns that his Father had left. I was more than happy to oblige him.

I was so happy that I found an A3 at that price, I gave the shotgun to my neighbor as a "finder's fee". I never cared much for shotguns so I had no idea of the value of the M1897, been trying to buy it back from him ever since I discovered what it was worth!!

About 20 years ago, in a two weeks span, I had two different folks give me guns. I felt the need to make it legal and did a BOS for $1 each. First one was a Charter Arms 38 2" snub.(had a broken cylinder release - I sent it back to Charter Arms and they completely redid the gun for me. The second gun was a 454 caliber Webley (I think)front break pistol, it was what the British used back in the Zulu days.......Kept both of them for many many years and traded them off.

That 90-two was bad ass but I'd say that one turned out well!

Oh absolutly I wish I could find a deal like that.... On freebie my dad gave me a Ruger P345, a Winchester 22-250, and an SKS(that was my first gun).

i picked up a M&P15 on here for $1050 last summer because it had a new Aimpoint CompM2 on it and i was looking for the AP. it was listed with a handful of mags.

when i got there the guy asked for my help and unloaded 2k rounds of PMC xtac in unopened cases that came with it "but i forgot to put it on the ad". happy day.
