What's this Tec-9 worth?

Generally, the KG9 was made & sold as open-bolt semi’s (OBS).. but like any pre-1986 firearms, they could’ve been legally (and very easily) converted to full-auto (before may ‘86) after individuals paid the $200 tax

I had 4 KG9 OBS at one time, down to one maybe two. Got a grand nephew who seems to understand open-bolt semi’s history

I have seen one or two registered FA bolts on GunBroker over the years. But I never realized how simple that conversion was until TheSnail recently bought one and gave us the details about it. I remembered owning a later Tec 9M and seeing the big silver looking flapper looking sear inside that held the striker back on mine. I had no idea that same setup was used to hold back the entire bolt assembly on the open bolt guns. Makes sense though. It's a very simple and effective trigger group. If it worked for both then why change it any further?

Saw a Tec9 years ago that was converted to use Suomi drums.

More simple and 1 tiny interchangeable spare part, and no tools vs the RPB OBS’s

Oh well yeah...of course after the tax was paid. I mean back when that was an option. Damn, this used to be a fun country.
