What's worse, Flippers or Low-Ballers?

http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/591550-Item-Gone!-FS-22-LR-BULK-Sale-Coming!!!

But yet there are people like this. 30 cases? 10 boxes per case. Your not killing people at 50 for 500 rds of cci, normal 7-8 a box of 100. Tell me this guy doesn't have some connection to dry up the market.... This is what makes the horder... which prevents the shooter from having ammo to plink....

rant over

Inkdaddy works for a gun store in ATL. If you read the add carefully, it sure sounds like he is selling them for his shop to ODT members before offering them to his own customers. Seems like a standup thing to do if you ask me.

your right, charging 2x retail to the ODT members instead of 3x on gunbroker is awesome. He must be a stand up guy.

I never get put off by a low offer. If it's ridiculous I'll have a good laugh and ignore it. If it's merely low I just reply with a simple "No thanks, but I appreciate the offer".

Flippers don't bother me either. It's a free market and supply/demand will always dictate. I don't personally flip ammo. I buy it, shoot it and share with friends if they're running low. But I have no problem with someone asking whatever they want. I won't pay .13 a shot for 22lr and chances are you won't either. But there are a lot of people out there frustrated because they can't find ammo. They have repeatedly tried the routine of waking up at 5AM and scrambling to hit three Wal-marts, only to come up empty. At some point they do the math and figure out their gas, time and sleep deprivation might just be worth paying a few extra bucks for. Is a flipper really any different than a scalper holding tickets to a sold out concert? And how much is he really making if he's made 30 runs to Wal-Mart and scored ammo three or four times? I doubt anybody's getting rich by making a few bucks selling 22lr.
