400yds between the eyes of a 8 pointer. had a witness. he still thinks i'm a great shot but i've never confessed I was aiming for the chest. 270 Abolt. I was shocked
20+ yrs ago I was invited on a bow hunt when I still could..Sitting in a pine 30ft up on a hill across a creek..watched a Doe come to the far side of the creek and lower her head to drink, waited she lifted her head several times and continued to drink...It came to a point that I thought she was going to drink the creek dry..Sooo I decided to hit her in the spine at the base of the neck..Just as I released the arrow she raised her head again..Arrow entered right between her eyes 2 inches above..Took her back to camp and they thought I was Robin Hood!! Until sitting across the fire that night when I told the true story..DD
