What's your favorite barrel length for an AR ?

Also feel free to include the gas system you prefer for your barrel length.

I have a 16 inch, good for distance, not uncomfortable either, but I would like to have a 7 inch barrel.

12.5 carbine length gas system.
14.5 pin/weld to 16. mid length gas system.
Pencil barrel preferred.

I think i have more fun shooting my 20" rifle than my 16" carbine. A little softer and just fun to shoot.

20. Noticeably more velocity than 16. Why wimp on an already wimpy round?

I have 4 of the rem r15s I think they are the 18 inch.all shoot incredible groups with the 50 gr fiocci amax.they are 1-9 twist

20 inch. Just awesome to shoot and you get some great velocity down range. Might not be the most practical but puts the biggest smile on my face out of all of them.

its a 22,yes it can go out to 600. but i consider them a 50 to 100 yard gun...

Got a 10 1/2 1-9 heavy in .223 wylde. LOUD but I can drop deer at 100. Haven’t been able to try farther. Quarter groups at 100yds.
