When did you/do you plan to take SS?

So the debate of the century.

I see valid arguments for both taking it as early as possible and as late as possible.

Your thoughts?
When to take SS is an individual issue and for me, I hope to take it at my Full Retirement Age (FRA) of 66 and 10 months which is coming quickly as I'll be 64 soon. Unless the law is changed, Medicare would be advantageous if it was voluntary at 65 or tethered to FRA and/or age 70. The best SS help I've found is from this Texan, https://www.youtube.com/@DevinCarroll

At, 62yrs old. I have been sick for 18yrs, I don't know how much time, I have left. So, I'm taking what I can get and putting it into my Grandkids ,,IRA accounts.
Have you ever applied for SSDI? it is usually more than what you will draw under SS and when you reach SS eligibility age, the awarded amount (under SSDI) will not go down....
