When is it no longer a milsurp?

If you made an offer, why would you not?
Its a conditional offer as I havent seen it in person yet, just some iffy pics.
If not too bad a Bubba Job then a Stock and a little love bring these sporterized rifles back to their glory, and for 300 bucks not a bad project.
Wanna know what I'd do?
If it had the front sight cut off when the barrel was cut from 24" to 22", I would put a new (old stock) front sight at the end of the new shorter barrel.
Then choot it.
22" bore gives you plenty of sight radius and velocity for long range target shooting.
And of course you'll need a military type stock -- even a modern reproduction would be fine with me.

18.5" barrel, shorter stock with no top hand guard, and a globe front sight that uses a set of inserts.
