Where to buy topographical maps of local area

If you go to www.mytopo.com you can get a variety of maps. they have 18x24, 24x36 and 36x48 inches. Topo, photo hybrid or another one I can't remember. They print a variety of scales. You can get the contour and relief shaded if you want.
For the waterproof map its 29.99. the outdoor is 29.99, and the fully laminated is line 55.00.

Haven't bought one in a while, but it seems that walmart is where I was getting them. I get the topo map for the state. It's a Atlas map. I think around $17. Or maybe a large sporting goods store......

DeLorme has a pretty good top software that allows you to access maps for the entire US. The cost is $99. You can drill down the detail on these maps.
