Where to shoot south of Atlanta?

I live in Henry County (McDonough) and I really want to find a decent sized range to do some outdoor shooting at.
Ive only shot my AR indoors so far and I would like to start shooting 100-300 yds
What options are there that you guys know of?
I know Charlie Elliot has a rifle range, but I havent been down that way in a couple years (since back when it was free)

I dont have a good optics setup yet (or even irons) but I plan on getting something soon and dialing it in. For now its a cheap holographic and 25 yard indoor ranges.

I just cant grasp the concept of firing a gun indoors. Kinda like parking the truck in the house.

thats going to be your best bet other than private property. There is a WMA range 10 minutes past Monticello on 212 that is nice as another option. its only a 45 minute drive from the square in mcdonough.

Marion Road Gun Club is the cheapest place to shoot in Macon.Membership required. Less than 10 a month and open all the time. Outdoor covered ranges: 200 yard rifle, 100 yard rifle, pistol range, and a do anything 100 yard range. Matches ever Saturday starting at 10am. We are having a 3 gun match Sat March 30

Membership in SRGC costs $300.00 per year (April to April) and there is a $350.00 non refundable new member service fee charged on your first year.
