where would you hole up if shtf and you couldnt go very far

as i sat here drinking soem of waht was left in the bottom of a bottle of courvoiser vs cognac i started thinking about if i wasn't in the country when something happened that made highway travel harder

if some sort of economic collapse/famine/zombie occurred and you didnt have a house or apartment(unpaid taxes or some such situation) where would you hole up/make camp? consider that you can't go very far from where you are in the city


if you had withing 10 miles of you
a)a outdoor strip mall shopping center
b)an indoor mall
c)a public park with no fences around it
d)an unfinished construction site of a 8 floor building with a 8 foot fence all around the property and no walls or window on the outer walls but floors and stairs
e)large hospital
f)some sort of restaurant like mcdonalds/arbys
g)abandoned 2 story home with a small 3 foot wooden fence/gate in front
h)woods surrounding the edge of the city
i)2 story apartment building

All of those choices are missing a critical item....Water. If you are going to hole up somewhere you need to study Siege Warfare tactics and understand that you don't have to kill an enemy with a projectile....once dehydrated or starved they will gladly do it to themselves versus the pain of starvation/dehydration. If you are looking for a suggestion I would suggest an apartment building that is complete and follow the methodology of the residents of Cabrini Green Housing Projects in Chicago...they made tunnels and passages throughout the complex to aid in their evavasion and concealment.....just my 2cents bro.

Need more details on the options other than perimeter differences. I also have to assume weather is similar to georgia. Cold climate would rule out some of those.
