I like the Troy rails a lot. They are very light weight easy to install and rock solid. That said the Daniel Defense rails are very nice as well. If you just want to put a bipod on it I would go with the Troy rail you can add the one attachment on the bottom and you are good to go.

Really liking this one...good brand, good price...doesn't look like it comes with a sling swivel, but I can add one, right?

Was expecting to pay $150ish for just the hand guard...this way, I might be able to get the handguard and bipod for that.

Ya know...now I'm wondering...is free floating even necessary? Is it possible that my chrome lined barrel and relatively low powered scope more of an accuracy killer than the pressure of the handguards on the barrel?

Perhaps just a simple sling swivel mounted bipod would be sufficient?

The Daniel Defense rails are some of the best rails out their. Check out the DD MFR rail. It is pretty affordable, nice and lightweight and mounts up much better than the TRX rails.
