Who can weld/repair a knife for me?

If welded properly, and heat treated, it should be as strong as if it were one piece. The heat treating is the problem, but I know a guy….you can see the sheer lack of penetration on original weld.
I have my tools listed and you could make your own!
Shoot me a pic of the other side, put together like you did…
The cleaver manufacture might replace that under warranty for you its worth a try.
I had to remove the other scale. But once I did that for the pic you requested, now I see why it was weak...

Possibly. But this was $100 which is about as much as I would want to spend on a rarely used kitchen knife. Rarely bc I don't often need a small chopper.
I don't want to spend another $100 and encounter the same thing. I'd rather spend the money and get this one repaired bc I will know what the inside of this one looks like and hopefully it's strong enough to not break again.
I'm not a welder so I can't see where it was welded. It looks like a one-piece to me and I "think" it was advertised as such.
