Who doesn't have a generator?

Who doesn't have the ability to make homemade electricity? How many wake up calls do you need? Keep an extra spark plug, engine oil, and fuel to get you through a few days without power.

I'm curious about who hasn't seen the need for this yet.

Oh I need one that's the bottom line. My power goes out all the time around here but yet I just keep putting it off like a dumbass. I want to get a good one I have it run off propane. It would solve a lot of my problems around here in inclement weather. Believe me it's in the works but I just got so many other projects going on right now I'd find myself putting it off too much. I hear you though buddy! I hear you!

I have 2 Generacs (4000/6000)/5550/8500) and a wonderful little Honda EU2000i. Have less than a grand in all 3. We lost power Sunday from 4am to 7pm, and brother did they come in handy! Ran the Honda for the home items, and the Generac 4k for my well pump. No one else around us had power, but we were able to use our toilet, TV, fridge, microwave, lights, and fan to keep us comfortable during a tough time (not all at once of course). May be overkill to some but I'm so very grateful to have and be able to use them when needed..........

I’m glad you posted this…..I have a new one in the box I bought 2 years ago. It has never been touched. Is it ok to just let it sit (brand new, no fluids in a temp controlled environment) until I need it?

Probably, but you won’t know for sure it’ll run, it won’t be broken in, and you won’t have it available quickly if needed.
