Who eats Kimchi ?

My gay neighbor asked me if I wanted to come over for some Kimchi. I didn't know he was um... like that till after I was like SHURE, why not.., got there and he had the table set for 'us' complete with candle and a flower. I've never really looked at Kimchi in quite the same manner.

Nothing against Kimchi.

I was stationed in Korea for 2 years and acquired a taste for some kimchi - mostly cucumber kimchi. I could eat cabbage kimchi but I never favored it.
BTW - to the folks who speak ill of kimchi remember pickles and cabbage sit for months in brine and most Americans think they're great. Think of kimchi as "spicy" cabbage. If you want to eat something disgusting try Chinese "Century Old Egg" (sometimes called Thousand Year Egg) yuck!

Can we safely assume you didn't stay for dinner and "dessert"?

My wife tells me I smell like Kimchi for a couple of days after I eat it. Seems to come out of my pours as I sweat, but I still enjoy an occasional bowl of Kimchi.

I eat it at one of the Chinese eateries I go to in Rome and it is good and spicy. Think of it as a peppery kraut with a touch of sweetness. Probably not a scientific description but that's what my taste buds tell me.

I tried some of the cucumber variety. It was awful. I don't really like cucumber though. I need to try the cabbage kind, I just have know idea where you would find it in S. GA.
