I just upgraded my gen 1 iPhone for a 16e
Heck I'm rocking my old iPhone XR.
Ditto. Works fine for me. Battery still over 90% effective

What does that thing cost?
I just upgraded my gen 1 from 2007 that thing was still running strong on the original battery. I hope this 16e is half as good.
